No vehicle pre-validation testing can be carried out without RENAULT pre-approving the tests performed on the relevant equipment by the supplier. However, if a regulation and directive exists for the equipment, the highest restriction between those product specifications and the regulation will apply. Without suggestions from the supplier and without written response from RENAULT, this document is completely valid. The RENAULT system authority (according to the RENAULT EMC authority) must define the selected requirements to the supplier. Each supplier can propose test adaptations that result in reduced equipment costs or additional constraints without undue costs. The requirements defined in these product specifications are the reference for tenders to suppliers. Equipment is validated when it meets test specifications for both equipment and vehicles. Tests performed on the vehicle are used to make a final determination of the electromagnetic compatibility performance of the equipment. The Eurolab laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of standard 36-00-808, which defines requirements for electrical behavior and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of electrical, electronic and pyrotechnical equipment built into RENAULT/NISSAN vehicles. 36-00-808 EMC Standard Against Electrical Disturbances in Electrical, Electronic and Pyrotechnic Materials
